Student Ministry

Optimized Process
Spiritual growth

Hardeetown Student Ministries exists to develop graduates capable of leading a Bible study. We do that by focusing on discipleship. It is our goal to lead all our student members into a closer walk with Christ. We teach them to become active leaders and teachers in both the student ministry and the church as a whole. We seek to send our youth into the world as spiritually strong disciples of Christ.

You can view many of our discipleship videos by texting Rightnow Hardee to 41411.

Fun time

While our student ministry is serious business, not every minute is spent in study. We also have serious fun. We regularly take time for food, fellowship, fun, and games. Sometimes we beat the adults in football--and sometimes not. Come be a part of something great at Hardeetown Student Ministries. Being a disciple of Christ is not easy. Are you ready for the challenge?

Our student pastor

Rev. Timney was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in the summer of 1984 and was baptized at North Trenholm Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina. God then called him to vocational ministry when he was living in Germany and a student at the University of Maryland. Upon entering full-time ministry, he was ordained by Union Baptist Church in Marion, South Carolina, on September 3, 2000.  He has served in various churches since then in youth, student, and education ministries. Brian’s lifetime calling in ministry is to youth and student ministry. His responsibilities at Hardeetown include developing and leading our youth ministry, overseeing our children’s ministry, and assisting the senior pastor with the overall educational and discipleship ministry of the church.

He is married to Kendra, who is a fourth-grade teacher, and has two daughters, Tammy, who is grown and attending Horry Georgetown Technical College, and Mahala, who is in the eighth grade this year. He attended the University of Maryland’s Munich, Germany, campus for two years before transferring to Charleston Southern University in South Carolina, where he finished his Bachelor of Science degree in 1996. He then earned a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, in 2000.
